Network Video Recorder (NVR)
 The
FlexWatch 5870 is an 8 channel stand-alone hybrid
Network Video Recorder which provides full feature video
server and recorder functionality. It can transmit, record,
and playback real time H.264 and MJPEG video streams from
directly connected analog cameras as well as remote IP-cameras
or video-servers registered to the NVR. The FW-5870 has
8 internal composite video inputs and supports an additional
8 external channels. Further, the FW-5870 can work with
other IP cameras and video servers, such as Axis, Panasonic,
Mobotix, Arecont Vision, IQinvision, and Vivotek.
The FW-5870 is based on Unified Communication Protocol. Compared
with other NVR (software based and hardware based) products, the
FW-5870 requires only a single TCP port for remote live view,
playback and configuration. It minimizes network configuration
burdens and offers much easier video management. By accessing
the FW-5870 locally or remotely, other IP cameras as well as
FlexWATCH cameras connected to the FW-5870 can be viewed and
controlled.
The FW-5870 is affordable for sites that can be expanded from
fixed analog channels to additional network cameras. The FW-5870
is widely used as a surveillance system for unmanned facilities,
retail stores, accommodations, gas stations, etc. Having the
advantage of flexibility in network video devices and digital
interfacing to other systems, the FW-5870 is also interoperated
with various applications, such as POS, Access Control, and
Building Automation.
