Simple Steps to Help Achieve PCI DSS Security Compliance

An important part of the Abacus commitment to our customers is to assist them in understanding the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and helping them understand their responsibilities in securing their data from criminals. Did you know
» In 2009, criminals stole credit card data from restaurants
three times more often than they did in 2008.
» Small businesses were targeted four times as often as
       large businesses.

Five Easy Guidelines To Assist in Keeping Your Business Safe
» Never connect your computers to the Internet without a managed hardware firewall
» Use unique Passwords and change them every 90 days
» Use a secure remote access tool with a two-factor (dual) authentication mechanism. Never
leave programs such as PCAnywhere in waiting
» Stay current on your POS software version. Ensure that it is a PCI DSS validated version.

With Extended Support from Microsoft for XP Professional scheduled to end in 2014, Aloha is moving to W7 and WEPR to succeed XP Professional and maintain long product life cycles.
