Aloha Minimum Hardware Requirements
The Aloha POS system is a hardware independent
application, but does require approved hardware with
minimum hardware requirements and approved operating
systems (OS).
Some hardware may not be compatible with all version of
the Aloha POS system. If you have any questions, contact
Abacus Business Solutions to verify version
compatibility.
The following hardware has been
approved by Aloha Technologies for use with the Aloha
POS system.
Point-of-Sale Terminals

Models with Cyrix
processor not certified. Until IBM rectifies the
problem, Windows 2000 users will
experience Windows shutdown problems if the OPOS
MSR is enabled on the SurePOS. SurePOS
requires Aloha version 5.026 or higher.

Minimum Order-entry Terminal Requirements
This does not include peripherals such as receipt
printers, magnetic stripe readers, customer displays,

requirements of the operating system.

5.026 or higher and IBM OPOS version 1.5.0 or higher. If
you are using IBM
OPOS 1.4.4, the patch included in 1.5.0 is
available from Aloha Technologies.

TSP400, TSP600, TSP700, TSP80
Serial, SP300, TSP600,
TSP700, TSP800 both parallel and serial. We only support
the TSP600,
TSP700 and TSP800 using OPOS and Windows-based
drivers. The TSP400 is a label printer.
