Radiant S338 File Server

The S338 platform provides an industry standard computing platform for site and file servers. For the model S338 Radiant is strengthening its partnership with Intel® by selecting Intel® processors with a matching Intel Q57 Express chipset. The S338 utilizes Intel’s latest microarchitecture which employs a 45 nm manufacturing process, hyper-threading, multiple cores, and memory controller integration onto the processor. Keeping with the Radiant Systems goal of long-life products the S338 platform has been sourced to provide a long life relative to the PC market, where platform changes every 6 months are common. By selecting Intel “Corporate Stable” components and by partnering with vendors to ensure long life availability of memory, cases, hard drives, etc, Radiant Systems can ensure product availability for 18-24 months, followed by a support life through the Radiant Field Services group of an additional 5 years.

The S338 offers a robust server solution through specification of a 3.06 GHz i3-540. For users who do not require the high end CPU power, the Pentium G6950 dual core 2.80 GHz CPU can be used to provide a lower cost solution. With a fast processor, DDR3 SDRAM, PCI and PCI express expansion slots, and USB 2.0 support, the S338 provides enough power for the most demanding software.
