We’ve been with Abacus since 2002. A few years ago, we added Aloha Inventory so that we could track our inventory on a weekly basis. We can now see variances on all liquor, beer, and wine and get weekly costs by menu item and category. Now it’s easy to order all our beer, wine, and liquor on a par level.

Thanks to Abacus, we have been able to significantly lower our total overhead through more efficient ordering. We’re saving time, space, and—most of all—money. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their bottom line.

Addison is a large, high volume, upscale restaurant and one of our first concerns was the guest experience. When we decided to replace our POS system, we were worried about the transition to the new system. Abacus was able to make this transition seamless. Their project managers were there for us throughout the entire process. The database creation, training, and ongoing support has been more than we could have asked for.

Abacus is a unique POS company in that they did a full assessment of our needs and based their recommendations on those needs. They offered to teach us how to manage our processes or manage them for us. Using the tools in Aloha, we were able to streamline our operations and added value to our bottom line. In addition to the POS system we purchased Aloha Enterprise and we are now able to get hourly reports to our accounting department and owners on a scheduled or as needed basis. We are able to manage the restaurant by exception and only have to research reports when the system lets us know we may have a potential problem. We especially find the labor scheduler tool invaluable as we were able to lower our labor costs by enforcing the staff schedule in the POS.

We would recommend Abacus and Aloha for all POS needs.

We purchased Aloha three years ago. Being an outside restaurant on the Intercoastal Waterway in Vero Beach, wear and tear on hardware was very important to us. The Radiant 1510 terminals have held up very well to the salt air. For us it is very important to keep our system under a maintenance contract. We love the Radiant Advanced Exchange Depot warranty because we don’t have a tech on site for this kind of call and it saves us money. If we have any problems with hardware, we just call the Abacus Call Center, log a case, and the next day a new terminal shows up. We love that Abacus gives us options for Maintenance and allows us to choose from 24/7 tech on site or by mail. We choose by mail to keep our ongoing costs down.
